With the winter solstice, the deepest and longest night brings an invitation to stillness and inward reflection. We turn toward the light that has withdrawn inward, before it begins to radiate outward again, the days gradually grow longer, and a new year arrives. This is a precious time, connected with death and rebirth, transformation and renewal.
In this spirit, we would like to share some important news and changes regarding the upcoming Pachamama Festival 2026:
Registrations for active contributors open on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
As volunteers, workshop leaders, musicians/artists, or stall operators, you have the opportunity to contribute to bringing the Pachamama Festival to life. The registration forms will be available on the website.
We recommend registering early – for artists, workshops, and stalls, registration remains open until March 1, 2026.
IMPORTANT:
For the 2026 festival, we are still looking for people who would like to play a key role in the volunteer kitchen (Love Kitchen) and at the entrance/information point. Specifically, we are seeking dedicated, inspired, and resilient amateurs or professionals who, after a handover and with our support, can independently manage and organize these areas with volunteer helpers.

From Ten to Seven
In the coming summer of 2026, the Pachamama Festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary. That the festival has grown from a small seedling in the Zurich Oberland into a sturdy, flourishing tree is thanks to a loyal tribe of numerous volunteer helpers, a steadily growing and colorful festival community – and of course, all the core members who, over the years, have shaped and nurtured the festival spirit with great dedication and passion. We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to all of them and to honor our four most recent departures with a personal, small tribute.
Nicole Schmid – As a co-founder of our festival, you were the first to arrive. With your thoughtful, calm, and reliable nature, you have repeatedly been like a mother, a grandmother to us – and we hope that at least in your new role in the world of numbers, you will remain with us for a long time. May your work in constellation work and process facilitation gently touch people, like the flutter of a butterfly’s wings, and sow joy.
Matias Ibanez – Nicole brought you with her – from the depths of the Amazon. You have often approached us all with equal depth and warmth. Whether in a long, drawn-out meeting or during the festival in your heart-driven volunteer kitchen, you have repeatedly reminded us that love also goes through the stomach. We sincerely wish that you may carry this, and your truth, far beyond the Pachamama Festival into the world.
Melinda Nina Garcia – the one who dances with the moon. At the Klingenmühle, you were captured by it, and ever since, your seemingly inexhaustible energy has fueled and enriched our festival. Your creativity has always been guided by goodness, and your joy has reflected in your connection with people. May your creative power continue to shine far beyond the Moon Dance in Switzerland, creating unforgettable moments and experiences.
Lea Sonderegger – Beautiful in every way were the two years in which you delighted us not only with your wonderful singing voice. As an experienced festival organizer and a dignified bearer of the circle teachings, you approached even the stormier times with composure and were always a strong and active support for all of us. We sincerely wish you the same for your clients in your future work as a breathing therapist – and much more besides.
A Warm Welcome
At the same time, we would like to take this opportunity to warmly welcome our new members to the Pachamama team. With fresh ideas, new perspectives, and great enthusiasm, they enrich our work and help ensure that the Pachamama tree continues to grow, branch out, and thrive powerfully in the years to come. We are very excited to continue this journey together with them.
Tobias Nagel – He will take on the areas of volunteer coordination as well as the entrance/information point. With his calm, warm, and hospitable nature, he is already a great asset to our team.
Sonja Berta – Shaping the communication for the Pachamama Festival is, for me, an invitation to deep listening: to attune myself to the voice of Pachamama and to connect.
