With their new album “Mountain Mantras”, Matthuji and the mantra ensemble open up a sound space – from the powerful silence and vastness of the Swiss Alps.
Recordings were made between the sky and the rock, like ancient prayers carried through the valleys – sacred, ancient mantras – that invite us to listen deeply within and touch our own inner glow.
This music is a journey in community: sounding inwards, singing outwards. Connecting – with the person at your side, with the earth beneath your feet, with the elements, with the sky within you. A healing path of sound and presence.
The mantra ensemble combines cello and viola with santoor, tabla and lead guitar, carried by multi-layered, powerful vocals. Gentle yet captivating, meditative and celebratory – together we experience a sacred and healing world of song that opens our hearts.
